Sport at REPS
At REPS we emphasize the importance of sports and games in school, as it encompasses more than just the benefit of physical activity. Increases in self-esteem and mental alertness make school sports and games an important part of the curriculum for all young people.
We have a sport activity period every Monday where students have the opportunity to compete in different tournaments.
The students are divided into house colours and every child has the opportunity to compete in a specific tournament every Monday, where competition is keen as they battle it out for their individual houses. For example: When there are football matches, each house will play against each other. The emphasis is on total participation and every student will get their chance to play and represent their house with pride and enthusiasm.
On Friday we have another sport activity period where students can concentrate on skill development in the particular inter house sport that is being focused on that week.
Throughout the week we have sport after school every day. We have swimming, basketball, volleyball, futsal and football on offer at different times, with a variety of different coaches. These coaching sessions are on specific days and children can join them every week after school.
